2021 EDFL Season Outcomes - iFLY Under 14 Division 3

Friday 10 September 2021

With the recent announcement that the Essendon District Football League would award premierships to the ladder leaders in all divisions for season 2021, our Under 14 boys became the iFLY Under 14 Division 3 Premiers. After a very successful season the boys went 9 wins from 12 games, securing them top spot at the end of the 2021 EDFL junior season.

Here's what Head Coach Nick Mazzeo had to say after receiving the news yesterday. -

"To endure the uncertainty each week presented us all with and have the group apply themselves week in, week out, and achieve such great results, showed outstanding character, great resilience, commitment and dedication. We are taking this opportunity to reflect and celebrate our achievements as a group this year, and see it as a form of recognition for consistently delivering the best results in division 3 this year.

We have no control on the decisions made by the governing bodies, however we had full control in the way we prepared and performed each week, and represented the club with the utmost  integrity.

The entire team (including coaching and support teams and parents) were so supportive and engaged with how we went about developing the team, our achievements would not have been possible without all of them - thank you.

With hard work, commitment, resilience and application, our group has demonstrated that you can achieve anything if you have a team first mantra. Look forward to seeing what the future holds for this fantastic group of young men. We are all very proud of our 2021 Division 3 team." - Nick Mazzeo.

We are extremely proud of Nick, the players, coaching staff and the support crew of our Under 14's boys team. Congratulations to all of the players and we wish you all the best in your future careers here in the YELLOW & BLACK.

Bring on 2022 at 'The Cage'.
