Our Reserve Men are Grand Final bound after a strong 31-point win over Coburg Districts secured their place in the EDFL Division Two Reserves decider.
Jackson Iulianella led the way for Westmeadows, with Harley Gleeson and Mason Mineo also producing strong performances. Ryan Blair was dangerous in front of goal with three, while Jesse Kempen added two. A composed finals performance and a well-earned opportunity on the biggest stage. Next stop, Windy Hill.
For this week's special edition, we hand the wrap over to Simon Tennant, who reflects on the group's big win that sent them straight into the 2026 EDFL Division Two Men's Reserve Grand Final.
"From the first bounce, the boys were ready to hunt and controlled the game, playing the way we wanted to play. Despite a strong third-quarter push from Coburg, the boys stood firm defensively and held the lead heading into the final break. Led by our midfield brigade, we lifted the intensity in the last quarter and were able to pull away, finishing the game strongly and securing a well-earned win. It was a complete team performance, with everyone playing their role and contributing when it mattered most. A great result from the boys, who showed plenty of fight, composure and determination throughout the game." - Simon Tennant
