Our Division One Women recorded a strong 31 point win over one of the competition's top sides, Keilor Park, in tough windy conditions on Saturday. The result sees the side remain undefeated at 11-0 heading into Round 12, a remarkable achievement and one that certainly hasn't come easy throughout the season. It reflects the hard work, commitment and consistency the group has shown week after week.
The girls came out ready to play and were able to set up the win with a strong first half. Gemma Wright was influential early and finished with two goals, while Courteney Munn continued her excellent season with three majors and looked dangerous every time the ball forward.
Through the middle of the ground, Taylor Jones, Ella Guest, Courtney Bligh and Miranda Bulman continued their strong form, providing plenty of run and carry and helping drive the team forward. Ruby Smith was outstanding around the contest, throwing herself at everything, laying strong tackles and putting her body on the line time and time again.
Madison Shaw-Barton was another who stood up when it mattered, taking some important marks across half forward and half back in key moments throughout the game.
Down back, Emily Brebner was excellent, holding down the backline and winning several important one-on-one contests deep in defence. Sophi Georgantonis, Emma Baker and Jacinta Scott provided plenty of support around her, with the group working well together in a game where we knew we'd need to defend strongly and back each other in.
Against one of the strongest teams in the competition, it was another really pleasing team performance, with contributions right across the ground helping secure an important win.
A special congratulations to Liana Keenan on becoming the first woman to play 100 senior games for the Westmeadows Football Club. This milestone is a reflection of the dedication, commitment and care she has shown our club over many years.

Beyond her contribution on the field, Liana has played a huge role in the growth of our women's and girls programs, helping create opportunities for so many players to pull on the yellow and black. It is a well-deserved achievement and one the entire club is incredibly proud to celebrate.
