This weekend marks the final time our current club rooms will be used, bringing to a close an era that has created countless memories for the Westmeadows Football Club community.
From Friday 17 April through to Sunday 20 April, all eyes will be on Willowbrook Reserve as our teams take the field one last time with the rooms as we know them. It will be a special weekend for players, families and supporters to reflect on the moments that have shaped our club.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE
Friday Night – Men’s Thirds
Saturday – Senior Women, Reserves and Senior Men
Sunday – Junior Program
DEMOLITION AND TEMPORARY SET UP
From 27 April 2026, builders will take control of the facility as demolition begins.
During the redevelopment period, the club will relocate operations to the opposite side of the ground, with a temporary setup including:
Bar container
Canteen container
Portable club rooms
This transition will ensure football continues uninterrupted while construction takes place.
LOOKING AHEAD
The new club rooms are scheduled for completion on 27 November 2026, with a build timeline of approximately seven and a half months.
Once complete, the facility will set a new benchmark for local sporting clubs. The top level will feature an outstanding east-facing view, positioned just metres from the boundary, creating one of the best vantage points in local football.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION
As part of the redevelopment, the football, cricket and darts clubs will work together to fully fit out the new rooms with furniture, appliances and equipment. While some items will be reused, the football club’s contribution is estimated between $35,000–$40,000.
A key part of this initiative is the Refurbishment Board, which will be proudly displayed in the new club rooms.
Community members can contribute by purchasing a plaque:
$1,000 per plaque (families and groups encouraged to contribute together)
Donations can be made via the Australian Sports Foundation or directly to the club
All contributions are tax deductible
Every dollar goes directly back into building a stronger local community facility.

MORE THAN JUST A CLUB
This redevelopment is about more than infrastructure. It is about creating a space where local kids and families can belong, build lifelong friendships and take pride in representing Westmeadows. The strength of our club continues to be built from the ground up.
In 2025, we welcomed over 100 Auskick participants, a testament to the strength of our junior pathway. Our Auskick program, led by Liana Keenan and a dedicated team of volunteers, runs on Friday nights and Saturday mornings and remains a critical part of our future.
That pathway is already delivering results:
12 players from last year’s senior grand final team started in Auskick
17 of the 22 players progressed through our junior program
OUR PROGRAM IN 2026
This season, Westmeadows proudly fields:
5 Senior Sides – Senior Men, Senior Women, Reserves, Thirds, Under 18.5s
7 Junior Teams – including boys and girls programs from Under 8s through to Under 16s
The growth across all levels reflects a strong, sustainable future for the club.
ONE LAST LOOK, THEN FORWARD TO THE FUTURE
This weekend is your final opportunity to walk through the current rooms, reflect on the memories and be part of a significant moment in the club’s history. While we say goodbye to the old, we do so with excitement for what lies ahead.
The next chapter for Westmeadows Football Club is coming and it will be bigger, stronger and built for the future.
